I spent more than four decades in education and retired as a school superintendent. Along the way I learned something that shaped everything I do now: the best learning happens as an extension of the classroom. It happens when you step into the world and let it change you.

That's why I started Adventures Du Jour.

I design small group journeys for culturally curious travelers, retired professionals, and the lifelong educators I came up alongside. These aren't packed motorcoach tours or one-size-fits-all cruises. They're intimate, intentional adventures for people who want to understand a place, not just check it off a list.

My motto is simple. Learning Through Travel. Egypt's temples. A Burgundy vineyard at harvest. The cliffs of Ireland's western coast. These are the places where midlife stops being a chapter you're winding down and becomes one you're reinventing.

I'm not here to sell you a vacation. I'm here to listen first, understand what's on your bucket list, and then build something worthy of your time. That's the educator in me, and it's the part I'll never outgrow.
